- What is your field of expertise? When and how did your story at Diatron start?
I specialise in software testing, but my story at Diatron started as a technician in 2016. Initially, I worked in manufacturing of the hematology machines, where I was involved in the assembly and fine-tuning of mechanical components. This position gave me the opportunity to learn about the basic mechanics and operating principles of the machines manufactured by the company. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the attitude of my colleagues and the working atmosphere, which has shaped my daily life ever since.
- What work were you doing previously? / What are you doing now?
I used to work on the mechanical assembly of machines, and then I was in charge of the inspection of outgoing goods, where I was responsible for ensuring the quality of finished products. I also had the opportunity to see the end of the production process, which was a very responsible job, as after our inspection the user received the equipment. After completing my studies in mechanical engineering, I did a programming course, after which I returned to Diatron as a software tester. I am currently working in the development area, where I test the quality and functionality of our softwares.
- What do you enjoy most about your job? How’s the atmosphere at work, in general?
What I enjoy most about my job is the variety and the challenge, as there are always new problems to solve. I am very happy to work in such a supportive team, where I can ask my colleagues for help. The working atmosphere is very friendly and inspiring, and we learn something new from each other every day. I especially appreciate that the company takes into account the opinions of its employees and supports new ideas. I feel very fortunate to work with people who are not only great professionally, but also as people.
- What advice would you give to a new person coming on board?
My advice to a new colleague would be to be open to new ideas and not to be afraid to ask questions, because at Diatron we are very open to listening to each other and to supporting development. It's important to take the job seriously, as you can learn a lot from experienced colleagues. If you have ideas, feel free to share them, as the company is always open to new approaches. Diatron is special in that they really listen to and value the opinions of their employees, so you don't have to worry about negative experiences in this area. All in all, if you work hard and with enthusiasm, I am sure you will gain a lot of valuable experience and positive experiences.
- Which field did you start your career in?
In May 2018, I joined Diatron's subsidiary (Mod-n-More), where I was given the entire accounting and sales area as my starting position. It was a deep dive as I returned to the field after a major break ( 2 children). I hadn't used SAP or IFRS before. However, I found myself in a super supportive team so I was able learn quickly. Thanks to Diatron's support I got my IFRS chartered accountant qualification.
- What kind of career growth (and promotions) have you experienced since joining?
As learning and continuous improvement are my main motivation, I was always looking for special opportunities, so I added new tasks to my job, which now involved the Controlling area: preparing reports for the management, Budget, Forecast, monthly/quarterly/annual reports, full coordination of closing processes, support of annual audit and inventory ... which led me to continue my activities as Controller within the group. My job is very diverse, it is essential to keep up with new technologies and trends, hence the Data Analyst SQL/Power BI training.
In the future I would not like to stop, I am looking for more in-house opportunities to further expand my knowledge and perform my duties to the highest possible level!
- What has been the biggest challenge you have faced?
To do the job, to do it accurately, often to very tight deadlines, in difficult situations, when there is only uncertain information available, because the business environment is constantly changing - that in itself is a challenge.
Learning to stand up for issues where I have a different opinion, if I can ground it professionally.
Controlling work also always involves dealing with complex tasks and problems and presenting them in a simple and understandable way to company decision-makers. It is our job to hold up a mirror, to show what works and what doesn't, we often assign ourselves the role of the bad guy, for example if management believes in a product, what they are doing - and then the controller comes along and shows a mirror with dry facts to see if that is really the case. There is a strong emotional aspect to this.
I can't highlight one, there were several challenges of a similar level.
It's an exciting, multi-layered, constantly challenging field, and to do it well you need to be flexible, agile and conflict-tolerant.
- What made you decide to join?
I found the general atmosphere at Diatron to be friendly and I also feel that working for making healthcare better, by medical equipment manufacturing is one of the greatest social responsibilities I can fulfil as a mechanical engineer.
- What keeps you working here?
I am motivated by the cohesion of the internal community and the shared responsibility to succeed. Internal relationships help not only at work, but also in your personal life. I feel that what I contribute to the organisation really matters.
- What skills have you developed most?
I developed my skills in task management and business communication. I have found my communication tool to make people appreciate my insights and ideas. I have become convinced that reasoning and collaboration are the best ways to get things done.
- What do you think is the most meaningful part of your work?
The most important part of my job is to act with such thorough critical conviction, using my background knowledge to create the best possible environment for manufacturing and my colleagues so that our products ultimately help people.

There is also the possibility to work for us as a trainee. We will also provide certified internship and help you write your thesis.
- How was your career path so far at Diatron?
My career at Diatron started in August 2022 as an HR trainee. During this period, I gained a deeper insight into the world of HR, participating in recruitment and onboarding processes and other HR tasks. I am grateful to my colleagues for their support and guidance, which has contributed to my professional development. In March 2024, after graduation, I will continue my work as HR Generalist, continuing to focus on direct staff support.
- Tell me about a time when you were challenged to grow in your skillset.
As a student, writing my thesis at Diatron was the biggest challenge. In the quantitative part of my research on workplace communication, I designed a questionnaire that was completed by 183 employees, while in the qualitative part I conducted in-depth interviews with 9 colleagues. My HR colleagues were also involved in the analysis of this data, which allowed me to not only learn about research methods, but we also interpreted the data from a practical, business perspective. Based on the results of the research, we made recommendations for improving communication in the workplace. This project not only enhanced my professional knowledge, but also helped my personal development.
- What’s your favorite part of your job?
Overall, I like all the tasks in my job, but I love interviewing in particular. Interviewing allows me to get to know a wide range of people and their professional journeys and motivations. The information gained from interviews helps us to select candidates who are professionally competent and fit well into the company culture.
- Would you recommend working here to a friend? Why?
I would absolutely recommend Diatron to my friends. It is a good company where employees are listened to and supported. You can get involved in a wide variety of tasks that give you the opportunity to learn and develop. The social life is also developing, with many company events to strengthen team spirit and workplace relationships. All in all, Diatron is an inspiring place to work, where both professional and personal development is supported.
