AUTOMATION
We offer reproducible, high-precision manufacturing of IVD and life science products, ensuring high quality thanks to the streamlined processes made possible by our in-house automation. Customers are integrated into the planning process of automating and upscaling manufacturing steps alongside product development or later mass manufacturing. This approach matches investment and upscaling with cost reduction defined by the volume needs of our customers.
Our customized automation solutions range from development to mass production, accommodating individual formats and different process steps like molding, coating, bonding and assembly, through to final packaging. In-line quality control includes optical checks and detailed reporting, while cleanroom conditions ensure quality assurance, reliability, and conformity with ISO 13485.
ASSEMBLY
Our assembly services cover a wide range of product features, from low to high volume and different stages of complexity. These services include pin or gasket insertion, integration of MEMS and electrodes, chip mounting, precision gluing, laser welding, sealing, sticker application, and laser engraving for customization, as well as content loading for reagents.
With our expertise and advanced technology, we guarantee efficient and reliable production processes, meeting the quality standards of our customers with every step. Close interaction with our automation group is a key component of our assembly process and ensures the high-quality standard of our production and its assembly steps, ranging from manual to semi- and fully automated production lines.
QUALITY CONTROL
We specialize in fully automated, seamlessly integrated in-line quality control ranging up to 100% checks of every manufactured part if required. The QC options include optical inspections, pressure assessments, flow evaluations, adhesion studies, manual checks, and fully automated QC with feedback loop integration. Furthermore, application QC is key to meeting and fulfilling our customers’ requirements and mimicking their application to approve production processes.
Alongside production-relevant QC equipment, STRATEC also has important tools at its disposal, such as electron microscopes (SEM), ellipsometry, white light interferometry, and atomic force microscopes (AFM). These are essential for measuring the often challenging microfluidic structures and required optical properties, such as low auto-fluorescence, optical clarity, or light transmittance for wavelengths down to the UV range.
PACKAGING
We offer both individual and standard packaging solutions tailored to your needs. Alongside conventional options such as cardboard, blister, or box packaging, our team has the engineering expertise to design customized packaging for any of our customers’ products. Whether it is manual packaging for low-volume items or fully automated systems for high-volume products, we provide tailored solutions to meet your needs. Our approach ensures that each product receives the ideal packaging, optimizing protection, presentation and required shelf life for the individual product.
