MASTERING

Our mastering technology, which is based on photolithography, offers numerous advantages and capabilities and makes us a leader in our industry. Key features include multi-layered options, with heights ranging from 50 nm to 300 µm. These allow for the precise and versatile structures used in microfluidics, ensuring optimal results for a wide range of applications

In addition, our technology supports aspect ratios of up to 12:1, enabling the creation of intricate and detailed designs. We also achieve small structure sizes down to 150 nm, ensuring high-resolution outputs and exceptional quality. By maintaining our mastering processes in-house, we can efficiently meet our clients' needs and deliver superior products with high precision and speed.

Molding

We specialize in the development and production of smart polymer parts by way of injection molding, ensuring optimal performance and results for applications requiring micro or nanostructure designs and optical clearance. Our extensive experience in high-volume manufacturing of IVD and life science products (bioMérieux, Unchained Labs) is a cornerstone of our capability in mass production.

Combined with state-of-the-art robotics, our advanced injection molding equipment, including variothermal and compression injection molding processes, enhances precision and efficiency. We draw on complex robotics to handle molded parts, remove sprues, and place finished components on automated conveyors. This seamless process allows for in-line laser marking, quality checking, and packaging. This way, we ensure that each part meets the highest quality standards.

COATING

Sputtering is a powerful process for manipulating and changing the surface properties of injection-molded polymers, such as wetting behavior, chemical resistance, permeability, and conductivity. Our sputter coating technique offers clear advantages over other coating methods. It is cost-effective due to the option of in-line processing, which reduces manufacturing expenses. The process ensures product consistency due to its great reliability, thus delivering uniform and dependable results. In addition, sputtering is an environmentally-friendly, "green" process, one which produces no harmful emissions or wastewater pollution.

This combination of cost efficiency, consistent quality, and environmental sustainability makes our sputter coating an excellent choice for enhancing the performance and durability of polymer surfaces as well as manipulating the surface energy, e.g. turning hydrophobic surfaces to hydrophilic behavior, especially important for applications in microfluidics, but also in other IVD and life science products.

bonding

Customized, cutting-edge bonding tools enable us to meet our customers' high-end requirements for optical quality, pressure resistance, and geometrical tolerances. We offer a wide range of bonding techniques for chip-to-chip bonding or  chip-to-foil lamination. These include thermal compression bonding, solvent-supported low-temperature polymer bonding, laser welding, and high precision bonding with alignment tolerances of +/- 5 µm and z-height precision of +/-20 nm to support highly demanding microfluidic applications

In addition, we provide the pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) bonding widely used for prototyping. Our advanced tools and diverse bonding methods ensure we deliver exceptional results, tailored to the specific needs of each project. This versatility allows us to handle complex bonding challenges while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.
